Charles Alfrey Mr. Alfrey graduated from Ball State University in 1988 with a B.S. in Music Education. While at Ball State he was a member of the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble I and II, and numerous Jazz Combos. After graduation he began his teaching career at Blue River Valley Jr/Sr High School. Mr. Alfrey has since been the Director of Bands at Lebanon HS, Monroe Central Jr/Sr HS, and Pendleton Heights HS in Indiana and the Director of Bands and Department Head at Booker HS Visual and Performing Arts Center in Sarasota Florida as well as the Director of Bands at Sarasota High School. He is currently the director of Bands at East Central High School in St. Leon Indiana. Mr. Alfrey earned his Master of Arts degree from Ball State University in 1998. He has performed with such jazz greats as Ray Brown, James Moody, Conte Condoli, Bill Watrous, Slide Hampton, and John Faddis .Mr Alfrey also serves as a visual adjudicator for the Central States Judges Association. |

Clint Hott Mr. Clint Hott – Clint Hott received his B.M. in Music Education from Morehead State University in 1998. He is in his tenth year of teaching and his fifth year at East Central High School where he teaches concert band, music appreciation, marching band, middle school and high school concert percussion ensemble, and marching percussion. As a student at Morehead State, Clint studied with Professor Frank Oddis, Dr. Larry Blocher, Bob Becker, Gordon Stout, and Dr. Richard Miles. Clint performed with the Morehead State Indoor Drumline (1995 PASIC National Championship), concert band, wind ensemble, marching band, and percussion ensemble. Clint has been a part of clinic presentations at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, and Indiana Music Education Association Conference. His professional associations include the Percussive Arts Society, Indiana Music Education Association, MENC, and the National Education Association. |

Staci Alfrey Staci is a 1989 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School in Pendleton Indiana. She has been instructing colorguards in Indiana and Florida since 1991 and has instructed State Championship winning groups at Pendleton Heights HS in the Indiana High School Color Guard Association and Booker HS in the Florida Federation of Colorguard Circuit. This is Staci's fifth year with East Central HS. Staci is currently employed with MainSource Financial Group in Greensburg. |

Matt Chandler Matt is a graduate of Northen Kentucky University and has attended the Cincinnati Conservatory for Music. He has taught saxophone in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky for the past 6 years. Matt has performed with Don Braden, Kenny Garrett, John Clayton, Bryon Stripling, Terrell Stafford, Kenny Werner, Marvin Stamm, Rick Van Matre, Otis Murphy, James Bunte, Donald Sinta and more. -Lessons are $35 an hour $20 half hour Email: mchandler44@hotmail.com

Sarah Billups Sarah is a recent 2009 graduate from East Central High School. During high school, she was drum major for 3 years and an active member of the winter guard for 3 years. This will be Sarah's first year teaching color guard and she has plans to continue teaching into the winter season. Sarah will be attending NKU this fall to major in secondary education. Sarah also plans to audition for O2 independent winter guard for this coming winter season. |

Tori Stenger Tori is a 2009 graduate of East Central High School. She will be attending Northern Kentucky University in the fall. Tori was in the fall guard 2 years; one year in the flag line and one year in the rifle line. She was also in the A Winter Guard for 2 years. This will be Tori's first year working with the Color Guard. |

Pat Smith Patrick Smith is 2009 graduate of East Central High School . While at East Central, he was a member of the marching band, indoor marching percussion, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and the Jazz Combo. In the summer of 2008 he joined Pioneer (a world class Drum Corps) where he played lead trumpet. He plans to return to a world class corps in the 2010 summer. Patrick will be attending Ball State University where he will major in Music Education. This will be Patrick’s first year being a visual instructor. |

Jon Bay Jon is originally from Mt. Summit, IN where he attended Blue River Valley High School. After graduating from Blue River Valley (which received 3 consecutive Class D State Runner-up finishes), Jon joined the staff to continue to teach. He then joined the Glassmen drum and bugle corps, where he marched "soprano" for 3 seasons - 94,95,96. After "Aging out" of the Glassmen, Jon was asked to be on the visual staff. While on staff he was part of the highest finish in the Corps' history - 5th place (98 and 99). Jon currently writes drill for several marching bands in the state including Carroll, Bluffton, Goshen, Fairfield, and Huntington North. In addition to his marching band experience, Jon is well-seasoned in both winter drumline and winter guard, where he has instructed and designed for several groups in Indiana and Florida. Jon has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Indiana Institute of technology. He is a "stay-at home" father of three children and husband to Jennifer Bay, Assistant Principal at Homestead High School in Ft. Wayne. |
